A new indoor multipurpose sports facility is being established to promote sports, inclusion, and participation. The project, supported by the PNRR – Mission 5 “Inclusion and Cohesion”, Investment 3.1 “Sport and Social Inclusion”, represents a concrete investment in modern and accessible infrastructure designed to enhance the well-being and cohesion of the area.

Project Objectives

The project’s goal is to create a modern and multifunctional sports facility, conceived as a service on an urban scale and fully integrated with the future green area of the former Pertite, destined to become a public park. The facility will also be available to the “Italo Calvino” secondary school, which currently lacks spaces dedicated to physical activity, thus contributing to improving the sports and social offerings of the neighborhood.

Expertise at the service of the construction site

In the project for the new indoor multipurpose sports facility in Piacenza, our team serves as Construction Management and Safety Coordination during the Execution Phase, ensuring control over every phase of the construction process.

The Construction Management oversees and verifies the entire operational cycle, ensuring the works’ compliance with the project, quality standards, and technical regulations. Simultaneously, the Safety Coordination supervises all construction activities, ensuring the correct application of prevention measures and full compliance with the Legislative Decree. 81/2008.

Thanks to a rigorous working method and collaboration with companies and suppliers, the project aims to create an efficient, safe construction site consistent with the qualitative and performance objectives defined by the client.

Innovation, Sustainability, and Community

The building is designed to host indoor sports activities such as basketball, volleyball, five-a-side football, and gymnastics, and is equipped with changing rooms for athletes and referees, facilities for the public, technical and storage rooms, a first aid area, and management offices.

The structure consists of two main bodies made with prefabricated concrete elements, high thermal performance envelope, and large glazed surfaces that promote natural lighting. The plant system integrates heat pumps and photovoltaic system, aiming for maximum energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Seismic-resistant structural works of use class IV, wooden sports flooring, porcelain stoneware finishes for service areas, and state-of-the-art electrical, mechanical, and photovoltaic systems are planned.

The project also includes the construction of external works – pedestrian paths, irrigation systems, green arrangements, and technological connections – aimed at ensuring harmonious integration with the urban context and high overall functional quality.

The project for the new indoor multipurpose sports facility in Piacenza represents a strategic intervention for the city: an efficient, safe, and sustainable infrastructure capable of combining architectural quality, technological innovation, and social value.
