Construction of Swimming Facility

Construction at the Sesto Fiorentino Science Campus of the University of Florence of a swimming complex within the Multipurpose Sports Center – “Val di Rose”.

The swimming facility complements the existing university sports facility
and includes: -a swimming pool with a pool of (25.00×12.50)m; -a swimming pool with a pool of (12.50×8.00)m intended for recreational use; -user locker rooms and toilets; storage rooms; -technical rooms;
The locker rooms and toilets are built inside the existing building body in the
lot. The storage rooms will be built “from scratch” leaning against the existing building body and are easily accessible from the pool floor. The technological rooms are developed in the basement, at an elevation -3.00m above the pool floor, and are accessible from the outside via a flight of stairs.
It is also planned to demolish the canopy located in front of the existing building body and
build a new, larger canopy.
