Construction Details

The complex of buildings intended to house offices and classrooms with laboratories is located east of the grid designated for this new part of the city. A simple-lined portico is placed in front of the laboratory volume, almost detaching from it. The building’s framework is made of cast-in-place reinforced concrete, while the infill walls are made of brick blocks. The exterior cladding consists of straw-colored sandstone slabs laid in varying courses to give movement to the facade. The window frames are made of painted aluminum in the same color as the stone, and on the ground floor, they are shaded by wooden shutters.

Conclusions

IUF promotes business culture and entrepreneurship in the academic field, enhancing research results and facilitating relationships with the local area. Additionally, it organizes informational events and scouting meetings to assess the potential of entrepreneurial ideas and the skills of the teams (Studio Pozzoli).

In summary, the University of Florence incubator represents a key structure for the development of innovative entrepreneurial initiatives, providing a dynamic environment and crucial resources to transform promising ideas into successful business realities.
